Villas Alondra - 5-star villa complex with 37 private swimming pools in Puerto del Carmen

Accommodation

Villas Alondra is a complex of 41 private villas, 37 of which have their own outdoor swimming pool and furnished sun terrace; the remaining 4 offer an exterior jacuzzi. Each villa contains 2 or 3 bedrooms and 2 or 3 marble bathrooms with both a bath and a shower. A utility room with a washing machine is included in every unit, and the kitchens are fully equipped for self-catering.

Dining

The on-site Arenas Lounge restaurant serves a buffet breakfast each morning with a varied selection of hot and cold options, including freshly made omelettes. For evening meals, the restaurant offers a gourmet menu with dishes prepared by recognized local chefs. Guests can also use the half-board option, which allows dining at the sister hotel La Isla y el Mar buffet on nights when Arenas Lounge is closed.

Wellness & Spa

The hotel houses a spa and wellness centre with a steam room, hammam, solarium, and open-air bath. Treatment rooms offer a wide range of services such as body scrubs, facials, couples massages, and full-body massages. Guests also have access to a fitness room equipped with free weights and machines.

Leisure

The complex sits 1 km from Playa Chica beach and within walking distance of Puerto del Carmen's main promenade restaurants and bars. Lanzarote Golf Course is located nearby, and the hotel can arrange bicycle rental and guided walking tours. A WhatsApp service connects guests directly with reception for taxi bookings, grocery delivery, and other requests.

Family & Children

The hotel offers baby safety gates, babysitting and child services, a kid-friendly buffet, and high chairs in the restaurant. Families can book villas with multiple bedrooms and private pools, and the complex has a shallow end in the main swimming pool. A grocery delivery service allows pre-arrival shopping to be unpacked and refrigerated before check-in.

Highlights

Private pools: 37 villas with individual swimming pools

Marble bathrooms: 2-3 per villa with bath and shower

Spa & wellness: steam room, hammam, solarium

“From what I gather, this property stands out for its private villas, each equipped with its own swimming pool, set in Puerto del Carmen. The spacious layouts, catering especially well to families, include full kitchen facilities and options for in-villa dining experiences. Although some guests have reported issues regarding room bookings, the classic villa designs and overall tranquility suggest a reliably luxurious stay.”

Minor Issues Detracted From the Stay

The breakfast was plentiful and offered a decent selection of items each morning.

I found some issues . Housekeeping only swept the floors instead of mopping them. There was also a persistent drain smell that worsened over the course of my visit.
